Alaska Cruises
Creative Cruising to Alaska allows a stopover in Hawaii. The Alaskan cruise ship sails the Inside Passage, sailing to Juneau, Skagway, Ketchikan, and Vancouver Island.
Prices for a cruise to Alaska range from about eight hundred dollars to twelve hundred dollars for a balcony berth. Some cruises start from Vancouver in British Columbia and go past Juneau, Glacier Bay, Skagway, and Ketchikan in Alaska and return the same way back to Vancouver in Canada.
The Inside Passage winds along the wonderful coast of Alaska. You will see islands covered in forests, fjords with rock walls, and mountains covered in snow. There is a rich array of flora and fauna and if you are lucky you will see breeching whales.
Juneau is the capital city of Alaska. You can visit the Alaska State Museum and the Mendenhall Glacier just out of town. You can hike, pan for gold, go river rafting or relax and enjoy the scenery.
Skagway was the starting point for many of the gold diggers of the 1890’s during Alaska’s gold rush. Skagway is the furthest town north of the Inside Passage. The former boomtown has a dance hall revue, and gold nuggets made into jewellery. Make sure you get on the White Pass and Yukon railway for its historical significance. It is fun too.
