Surf At East Coast Points Today
There seems to be surf at all the right hand points all along the east coast of Australia today. So if you go right then get out to any protected southerly point and have a go.
Surf In New South Wales today.
Avoca has got pretty decent larger waves about 3 to 4 foot with bigger sets coming in out the back. It doesn’t seem to be too crowded but it may do so when school finishes.
Manly at Fairy Bower is a decent sizes and has some great waves breaking.
Cronulla Point has got some decent waves around the four foot mark but there is nothing out at Shark Island.
Queensland Surf
Snapper Rocks has got some sick waves breaking off the rock and is about 2-3 foot. It is fair dredging and pretty hollow so if you get sucked inside and get whacked I reckon it will hurt when you get bounced off the sand. It is not really going right through to Rainbow but it seems that there are a lot of wide waves going through to Greenmount Point. But Rainbow itself is pretty small and not really doing it. High tide may be the go tonight.
Currumbin has some small waves breaking on the northern side of the breakwater and out the back is breaking but i think it will be a bit full but that is ok for the longboarder who like fat waves.
Burleigh Heads looks crap and a bit messy. But Burleigh likes a bit of west in the wind and the swell is coming direct onto it. It seems to be dredging too much sand and is closing out heaps. If you like pulling into sand monsters then go for it.
Noosa Main Point is about 1 to 2 foot and there are decent clean waves there.. National Park is bigger with some 3 footers coming in. As per usual there are heaps of guys out so if you like that sort of thing then go and fight with the crowds. It is not my style.
