I actually went out for a paddle this morning. My shoulder had been sore so I was out of action for a week. But today was the big day. And it was crap. I had a look at Merewether first but it was no good. The swell was about four foot. and just crappy.. Dixon had a few waves but the sets were closing out a bit..

Newcastle had some decent left handlers breaking just off the point and down the beach a bit. It was ok and about four foot. I went out at Nobbys. It looked ridable and sorta had some left handers but i went out and it was a barrel of slush, a bucket of slops.. I just floundered around for a while in the rips and then caught one in and came in.

I had a look at the webcam at Avoca and there are some waves there today. But the swell has dropped a bit since yesterday.
This morning at 7:50 am the wind was blowing from the South at ten knots.
At 11:20 am it was still blowing from the south at nine knots.
At Norah Head the wind is blowing from the South-South-East at seven knots.

All i can say about today is that i had a paddle and i got some exercise. doh!
