Blackbeards castle stands at the top of the hill overlooking St Thomas. In the 1700’s Blackbeards Point was the highest point of the island. Around the harbour, St Thomas has many famous beaches. Nagin’s Bay is a beautiful beach more than a kilometer long.

Lord Howe Island is part of Australia and has two significant peaks and the island is pretty chilled out. There are limited numbers of people allowed on Lord Howe Island at one time. Go snorkelling on the reefs for a great view of the ocean.

A tiny island in Fiji with a big reputation is Beachcomber Island. It is a party island where at daytime the party goers just love to sun bake or go jet skiing or water skiing. There are buffet style meals and accommodation to suit any budget. There are private bures or cheap dormitory accommodation for the backpackers. Have a cocktail to start the night and dance on the tables all night. Everybody has lots of fun and is a thirty minute ride from the main island of Nadi. Pacific Blue has flights from Brisbane or Sydney for a few hundred dollars.

Jervis Bay has perfect beaches and crystal clear water. Get on a cruiser and enjoy the best that Jervis Bay can offer. Hop on board at Huskisson and sail on out to the bay in the afternoon. There is every chance you will get to meet the local bottlenose dolphins. They eat squid and star fish mainly and there is food in abundance for the dolphins. The white sandy beaches are fantastic and clear. You can swim in perfect clear water and snorkel as well as explore on a deserted beach. At dinner get into a sausage sizzle and feed your face with a classic australian sausage sandwich. Settle back in a deck chair and enjoy the sunset.

Tonga is more than a hundred islands and you could start with sight seeing on a quad bike. A cart safari will take you on a secret tour to the out of the way places to see things like fruit bats who fly with their young attached. It is a good area for whale watching. The coastline towers above the sea and you can sit on the top of a cliff just watching the waves break on the cliffs.
